WHO I AM

My name is Megan Stamer and I am entering my second year of teaching. I graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with my Bachelors of Arts in History and a minor in Psychology in 2012. I received my teaching certificates in Elementary Education and the following Middle School Subjects: Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts. I completed my student teaching at Franklin Elementary School in Rahway, NJ and currently work at St. John the Apostle School in Clark, NJ where I teach Science to fourth and fifth grade students, as well as Reading and Language Arts to fifth graders.  At SJA I serve as co-advisor to the Board Game Club. I am honored to be one of 18 scholars of the 2015 Maitland P. Simmons Memorial Award Institute and to be one of 32 educators of the 2012 NASA Real Time Data Institute. In 2011 I also received the Doris White Memorial Scholarship from the New Jersey Science Teacher Association and was one of 8 students who received the award. Currently, I am in the process of attaining my Masters of Science in Educational Technology from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Please feel free to contact me at mstamer@ramapo.edu with any questions about this portfolio.
